As we continue to celebrate Women's History Month (WHM), this month's Endeavor Mentor spotlight goes to Marisol Angelini. Marisol has had a global career that one can only dream of. She speaks four languages and has worked in Europe, South America, and North America!

Her career spans from Macy's, to Procter & Gamble, to The Coca-Cola Company, where she spent most of her time in Global Marketing. During her 20+ years at Coca-Cola, Marisol worked in five different countries and spearheaded many international marketing and branding initiatives. Her core competencies include consumer and market insights, innovation, strategic growth, and scaling talent in food & beverage, consumer goods, and retail industries.

Marisol's career exemplifies not only world-class marketing leadership but a generous and authentic commitment to sharing her unique perspective and skills wherever she can add value. In a world where women hold far fewer board seats than men, she is in many board rooms, including Bush Brothers & Company and the National Association of Corporate Directors. As a founding Advisory Board member of The Women’s Council at Coca Cola, she worked to increase female talent in positions of leadership globally.

As an Endeavor Mentor, Marisol not only supports our local entrepreneurs but spends time with Endeavor companies from all over the globe. She became an Endeavor mentor in 2018 and quickly became a go-to for entrepreneurs on a range of challenges, from marketing and brand management to international expansion and organizational culture. Since joining Endeavor as a mentor, Marisol has generously donated 50+ hours of mentorship in various capacities, including serving as a panelist during Endeavor's multi-step selection process, sitting on advisory boards, or participating in one-off mentor meetings with Endeavor Entrepreneurs.

We are incredibly grateful for Marisol's service and couldn't be more excited to highlight her in this month's mentor spotlight! Read on to learn more about Marisol.

What excites/inspires you the most about mentoring entrepreneurs in Atlanta and beyond?
I like the energy of entrepreneurs. Their perseverance, resilience, resourcefulness and optimistic attitude are contagious and motivates me to help them with my expertise or experience. No matter what industry or type of business they are in, I have always found the experience with them intellectually challenging, rewarding, and fun.

As we celebrate women’s history month, why do you think we need more women in leadership?
At large, we want a society that leverages the individual and collective talents of all people. Businesses' leadership roles makeup should reflect the social environment we live in, the customer segments those companies serve, and a broad diversity of thought. Balancing these three aspects has been proven to generate more effective decision-making and better results across many fronts. More recently, women have outpaced men at the speed at which they get a formal education, they are going in fields that were male-skewed (i.e. STEM), and they are outperforming in those few roles of leadership they occupy. Therefore, I am very optimistic that businesses as a whole will get better as more and more women are given opportunities to enter the workforce, develop themselves in non-biased career paths, and are given the same level of opportunities to thrive on top leadership spots.

What is one thing that might surprise people about you?
I am actually an open book with the people I know. There is very little that I do not share. With me...what you see, is what you get!!

Thank you Marisol for your continued leadership and giving back to the global entrepreneurial community and beyond.
